Events like the Scottsdale Artwalk are plentiful near our Sunny Scottsdale Condo Vacation Rental. There’s always a concert or streetfair when you stay at our vacation rental condo.

The 30-year tradition of Scottsdale ArtWalk takes place every Thursday evening from 7pm-9pm in along Main Street and Marshall Way in Downtown Scottsdale. The galleries open their doors to the public and show off the work of the Southwest’s outstanding artists. The process is simple – proceed at your own pace, wander into galleries, stroll around a delightful areas punctuated by dramatic statues, dine in famed restaurants and enjoy live music all along the way. Horse-drawn carriage rides and trolley rides are often available.

Great news for all our Scottsdale visitors who love great weather and fun outdoor things to do. The warm breezy days in the 70′s are back and outdoor festivals are following right along. First up is this weekend’s Arizona Taco Festival, just right down the street from our Sunny Scottsdale Condo Vacation Rental. As you’ll find almost all the fun activities and events are within range of our vacation rental condo in Scottsdale because you won’t find a better location!

The Phoenix Open is one of  Scottsdale’s biggest annual events, drawing huge crowds and celebrities to enjoy “the greatest show on grass.” When in town for the Phoenix Open, many visitors prefer to stay on Scottsdale’s “resort row,”  the section of Scottsdale Road between Shea Blvd and Camelback Roads. Our sunny Scottsdale vacation rental condo is located in the middle of resort row!  Anyways, The Phoenix Open is a fantastic event, and it’s a fundraiser for the Thunderbirds’ charities. Recent news articles suggest that this past year they raised over $4.4 Million  for charities. The fundraising achievement is nothing to balk at, especially considering the major economic challenges and corporate pull backs in earlier 2010. Congrats to the Thunderbirds for another outstanding Phoenix Open, AKA Waste Management Open. Scottsdale has done very well by continuing to invest in public art. This commitment continues to make Scottsdale a beautiful and interesting place for visitors and residents. The public arts project is clearly one of many factors making Scottsdale a top vacation destination. In 1985, the Arizona city of Scottsdale adopted a one percent for art ordinance and established the Scottsdale Public Art Program with the goal to enhance the quality of life afforded area residents and visitors. Scottsdale’s program and projects have won local, regional and national awards. Public art has taken many forms ranging from the walls of the Pima Freeway to James Turrell’s Skyspace at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.
